This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service, and how we comply with global data protection laws, including the EU/EEA and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/UK GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA), India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and other applicable privacy laws.

3.2 AI Processing

For users in India, we delete or anonymize personal data once the purpose for processing has been fulfilled and it is no longer necessary for compliance with law or legal claims, or when you withdraw consent (where consent is the basis for processing).

Specific retention periods include:

  • Account information: Until account deletion or 3 years of inactivity
  • Resume and cover letter data: Until user deletion or 2 years of inactivity
  • Interview recordings: Until user deletion or 1 year of inactivity
  • Usage analytics: Aggregated and de-identified data retained indefinitely for service improvement

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request access to your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information

  • Use in-product controls (account settings) to access, correct, download, or delete your data, or withdraw consent
  • Or contact our Grievance Officer (India) using the details in Section 13. We will acknowledge your request within a reasonable time and aim to resolve it within 30 days, subject to applicable law

Additional note: Users in Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA), Australia, Singapore, and other jurisdictions may have similar rights, which we honor in accordance with local law.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence.

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: where we transfer your personal data to countries that have not been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as:

  • European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under GDPR Article 46
  • UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU SCCs
  • Other approved transfer mechanisms where applicable (e.g., Binding Corporate Rules)

If we rely on an adequacy decision or a certified framework for a particular transfer, we will do so only where applicable and will ensure that onward transfers are protected.

For users in India, cross-border transfers of personal data will be carried out in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any notifications issued by the Central Government of India. We will not transfer personal data to any country or territory that is restricted by the Government of India.

For all international transfers, we implement appropriate contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards and remain responsible for our service providers' processing of your personal data.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16 outside India. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 in those jurisdictions. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information.

For users in India: Our Service is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly process personal data of children without verifiable parental or guardian consent, and we do not undertake tracking, monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data of a child in India without the necessary consent, we will delete such information.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

  • Right to delete personal information, subject to exceptions
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising

We do not sell or share personal information to/with third parties in the sense of California law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit. If our practices change, we will provide required notices and enable you to exercise your rights (including honoring opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control, where applicable).
