Consumer rights

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws. Where PraxJobs hosts, transmits, or provides access to third-party job listings, links, or content, our role may qualify for intermediary/hosting safe harbors or similar frameworks under applicable law (for example, the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), the UK Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, 47 U.S.C. § 230 (U.S.), Australia’s online services safe harbor scheme, Singapore’s IMDA guidelines and applicable intermediary frameworks, and Brazil’s Marco Civil da Internet). Consistent with these regimes, we are not liable for third-party information we host or link to, provided we follow required due diligence and, upon obtaining actual knowledge of unlawful content or receiving a lawful order, act expeditiously to remove or disable access to such content.

International dispute resolution options

We encourage you to first contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve any issue informally. EU residents may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Where permitted by law and unless you have non-waivable rights to bring claims in your local courts, PraxJobs is willing to participate in good-faith mediation conducted online (for example, under the ICC Mediation Rules or WIPO Mediation Rules). If arbitration is permitted and mutually agreed, disputes may be referred to arbitration administered by the ICC or SIAC, conducted in English, by a single arbitrator, with a seat selected by mutual agreement or, failing that, a neutral seat. Nothing in this section limits your statutory right, where applicable, to bring claims in the courts of your habitual residence or under local consumer dispute resolution schemes. If our Terms of Service specify a different dispute resolution arrangement, that arrangement will prevail to the extent permitted by law.

India-Specific Terms

Consumer rights

Nothing in this Disclaimer limits any rights or remedies you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Our disclaimers, exclusions, and limitations of liability apply only to the extent permitted by Indian law and do not exclude liability for deficiency in service proven under applicable law.

Platform liability

To the extent PraxJobs hosts, transmits, or provides access to third-party job listings, links, or content, we act as an "intermediary" under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Consistent with Section 79 of the IT Act, we are not liable for third-party information, data, or communication links made available or hosted by us, provided that we observe due diligence and, upon obtaining actual knowledge of unlawful content or on receiving a lawful order, act expeditiously to remove or disable access to such content.

User obligations

Users must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, update, or share any information prohibited by applicable Indian law, including Rule 3(1)(b) of the Intermediary Rules, 2021.
